ABOUT GOOD DOG!
Episodes: 65 half-hour programs
Description: It's Good Dog! and renowned dog authority Dr. Stanley Coren is on the case. The programs
are themed around issues such as dominance, grooming, aggression, etc., and in each episode Stanley visits the homes of two
different dog owners to help them with training challenges or to give them advice on doggy concerns.
Informative, lively and sometimes funny or poignant, the viewers see these dogs in action. Dr. Coren
provides general advice and demonstrates training techniques with his own dogs: Odin, his 6 year old
rambunctious flat-coated retreiver, and Dancer, his two year old Nova Scotia Duck Toller, and Wizard, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Stanley helps the guests work with their own dogs, and at the conclusion of the programs, he also provides tips
and demonstrations on everything from brushing your dog to playing safely with your dog.
Dr. Coren is a professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia. He is well-respected for
his knowledge of dogs. Best known for his internationally best-selling book, "The Intelligence of Dogs",
his most recently released book is "How to Speak Dog".
Dr. Coren is an instructor with the Vancouver Dog
Obedience Training Club. He and his dogs have participated in and have also won many dog obedience trials
and competitions held under the auspices of the Canadian Kennel Club. He and his dogs have also been
members of numerous award-winning Precision Dog Obedience Teams.
