The program's host is Ann Peel who is ranked among the top ten competitive race-walkers in the world. She is the record-holder for the 3,000 and 10,000 meter distances. She also puts on walking clinics throughout North America for people who are interested in walking for fitness and fun.
The program's main emphasis is on recreational walking for fitness, but some of the basics of race-walking and hiking are introduced, and warmup and cool down exercises are demonstrated.Physical fitness experts show how to design a personal program and will explain the benefits of walking.
